What I Have Done

Diecow, TS and Guiyan were walking in the street of Shangshe. There were many people in the street, they were mixed in the crowd. When they walked to the most crowded area, there was a pretty girl coming from another road that joins to the street. 

 

TS said to Diecow: “What do you think of that girl?”

 

“Nice,” Diecow said by nodding his head, ” a graceful beauty.”

 

She is indeed a “beauty”, with long hair, good looking face, graceful body, fashionable dress, looks like a popstar. It is really rare to see such a beauty in Shangshe. When she walked past them, Guiyan were not able to say a word but staring at her.

 

“I gona talk to her.” TS said to Diecow.

 

“Dude,” Diecow said, “so many people here. If you mess up, people will laugh at you.”

 

“I don’t care, but if I miss this chance I will regret in the rest of my life.”

 

“She will ignore you. A pretty girl like she will not be impressed by you.”

 

“If I couldn’t give her a good impression than I will give her a bad one. Anyway, I am not going to date her right now, I just want to get her attention and maybe a chance for next time.”

 

“There were certainly so many men had done that and made her dazzled, she is old enough to have lots of this kind of experiences.”

 

“Let him go.” Guiyan interrupted, “Why are you stopping him? How do you know she is not his next girlfriend?”

 

TS speeded up and catched up with the pretty girl. Then he slowed down and walked with her: “Hey, Hello, have you noticed that every guy in the street is looking at you?”

 

The girl glanced at TS out of the corner of her eye and didn’t say a word. she kept walking.

 

“You must have get used of this situation, so you just cool about this, right? But maybe in the deep of your heart, you are very pleased about this, right?”

 

The girl looked at TS again, expressionless.

 

“don’t walk so fast. I will not ask you who you are, where  are you going. And I won’t tell you who am I,  what do I do. We are just two people who  don’t know each other, walk together occasionally, and have a little chat. It’s so lucky that our two can met in this huge universe. If you don’t feel like saying anything, just let me do the talking. In fact, I am not going to give you the opportunity to interrupt me. I dislike a person who will respond to every word I said like a yes-man. I got this a lot every day from my friends. Sometime even if I have a cough there will be someone followed a cough.  If I say 1 word the other will answer me 10 words. I couldn’t get the opportunities to say any more, so I love talking to the object that can not speak. At home I talked to the wall; In the streets I talked to the girls who too shy to talk to me. Anyway, we are not responsible for each other. After the talking, we just walk away, and maybe never meet again in our lives.”

 

TS followed the girl to the bus station of Shangshe. When she stopped, TS stoped. Daicow and Guiyan were also catched up and followed behind. TS continued talking to the girl without breaking: “I love people who are cool to me, if everyone is warm to me then I will get sick of them, as they make me have to warm to them too. In fact, I do not like some people, but just because they like me, I have to pretend I like them. You see, this is Diecow, this is Guiyan. I didn’t like Diecow vert much when I first met him and planed not to talk to him at all. However, it turns out that I have talked to Diecow more than anyone else. I feel bad about this. Every night before going to bed I determined I should be cool to others, but in the morning when I get up and see the first person in the day, Guiyan, I just can’t help to smile to him. I can’t hold my face. It’s too hard for acting cool, is there any advice you can give me? you are doing so good for being so cool, so natural. No, please don’t open your mouth, don’t answer me, don’t break the cool image that you have impressed me. There were a lot of girls speak out in the end and made me didn’t want to see them again, and so destroyed the friendship between them and me. I hope you are different. “

 

The girl had been trying to speak up several times but stoped by TS, so she just listened in silence, until a 560 bus came. “Thank you, for you can holding your own so well. You are really the most beautiful and coolest girl I have ever met. It’s really enjoyable talking to you - if I meet you next time I will definitely talk to you again.”
